 STICK TO THE GOAL

It's been two months and a colleague sent message this afternoon to ask about the gadget. I know it considers unprofessional when a set of technology is not available in your class presentation as the application of gagdet will support in the classroom activities. Looking back at the beginning of 2020 where everyting was being conducted online then there were many kinds of solutions came up one by one. I remember that that time I found my new play ground where gadget, website application and internet connection became my new way of teaching activities. I learnt a lot of things related to classroom management, operating the other supported technology such as LCD projector with the screen monitor and how I managed the New technique of presenting a lesson. In addition, I also attended some a few online classes to catch up the new application to improve  my teaching performance such as Canve, quiziz and other webinars to sharpen my saw. I found my new hobby with  the digital application. I designed flyers for all of my classes, designed all power points, quizez or test via Google forms, Quiziz and Canva, Mentimeter, Wordwall, Padlet Jamboard  or class point. I also made use of google classroom for my class report activities. I enjoyed the journey. It was like in a high end atmosphere where I applied new tings in different online situations.  I was proud of myself and have a bravery to sow off all of my works as I could make something different with different applications.  

Now, it seems different. The moment is going back to normal. The class and face to face activities become common things to see every day. Personal Computer, laptop,  TV or LCD projector will be available in every class or at least teachers have their own laptops and they just plug in the cable to the projector then the class will be touched differently. However, the condition sometimes make me think hard when the hardware is not there or mine is under construction.  I must find another way to handle the situation. I could not give up easily and ask a "silly request" such as the availability of laptop. Thinking hard on how to make class is going to run well and how the students could have their gadget on their hands while they are learning with the teacher are parts of my challenges. I'm trying to design slide presentation and when the students are with me, and I create a digital class. I decided to pretend that the class applies digital system and I am going to ask everyone to make use oftheir gadget to become a media to learn, practice English by reading, listening, speaking and writing. I must show my self, at least, that what I'm doing is to activate the students' eagerness to elaborate and explore their eager beaver and to become a teaching technique on how to integrate learning and technology in class activitie. Students are the learning center and teacher is the facilitator to accomplish the learning target. Whatever kinds of ways teacher does she shoul be able to shyncronize the learning and stick to the goal. This is me, with a set of challenges but I'm willing to move forward with courage and pride and ensure that I'm always OK with a smile in even a difficult situation. Insya Allah.
