Bunda Salihah # 2 Skill of Effective Teamwork

 THE DREAM TEAM: 

"A Journey of thousand miles begins with a single step"

Here I am, having the biggest challenge in my life that actually I accomplish it in a team. It is different now.Based on the name, "IBU PEMBAHARU", I must make another huge extra mile to improve my life skill and strengthen both of my hard and soft skills. It is not easy as I usually get my own part, concern on that one and reach my target on time, report it and get satisfaction from the result. In fact, I learn a lot of things and must be able to manage everything including my ego. I have a dream, a big dream but it will be vanished if I could not  prove it. It looks simple for other people but for me, I have got many experiences related to the people obstacles and must work harder now otherwise they will left behind. 

My Program  is called "VEZTIFAL", it is a program for everyone who wants to practice and prove English not only for daily conversation but also for their specific purposes. Competition in language competence is going to be harder each day, especially since MEA came to be the mutual cooperation in the South East Asia. Here is my team and I am still trying hard to get others to be parts of my team.

The 1st member team is me. Rita Fithra Dewi and I am the leader of this team. I concern a lot on English communication skill to be our soft skills and can compete with others in MEA forum. Unfortunately, There is big obstacle to see. The first is self confidence and the latter is opportunity to practice English as a habit. Building a supporting system could reduce the anxiety or even the disappointment.

I have already shared my campaign and have got two others. They are Shafira Aisya Supiar, my daughter who has the same passion to fight herself to get used to with English and her education dream is going to continue overseas. She is 16,5 years old and is studying on the 11th grade of Senior High School.

The other one is mba Sara. She is from IP Tangerang. We have already discussed about my problem statement and she has the same point of view on how to show her talent in English without worrying about grammat, pronunciation or self confidence. She shares her concern on why we are difficult to speak up though we have learned a lot since elementary school. 


We also have set our story board to reveal my problem statement into a series of situations and it will be our road map and  if there is input from others, the story board could be modified or elaborated.

We make a mapping talent on both hard and soft skills. We need more people to join as there are still hard skills we need to design a website. 



The activities our next move will be set on the following role and task. We are three but I will try to work out and collaborate to run our VEZTIFAL program. "There is a will there is a way". As long as we have open communication and we have clear road map as well as Role and Task, I am sure we could make it. 

I am still walking, finding my style of leadership and learn how to be a good listener, content creator and time management.

Bunda Salihah #1 Review on Feedback System

 

     FEEDBACK SYSTEM: PANDANGAN DAN UMPAN BALIK 

 Inilah cara kami bekerja, berbagi dan memberi pandangan dari sudut pandang pasangan. "Tidak ada yang sempurna yang akan saya sampaikan untuk memberikan umpan balik", mungkin itu ungkapan yang ingin saya sampaikan kepada mba Yunita Bayu A, dari IP Tangerang. Tahapan ini adalah bagian dari kegiatan belajar kami menelusuri dan memberi pandagan dari problem statement yang sudah dirumuskan mba Yunita. 

Alur pengerjaan sistem umpan balik dimulai dengan segera menghubungi pasangan reviewer. Bak pucuk dicinta, ulam pun tiba, saya yang bermaksud menghubungi mba Yunita pada hari Kamis, 8 Jui 2021 pagi ternyata sudah didahului oleh beliau dengan menyapa dan memperkenalkan diri. Kemudian berbincang bincang dan masuk ke langkah kedua yaitu bertukar jurnal. Kami saling mmebaca sekilas dan memberikan kesan awal masing masing isi tulisan kami dan akhirnya kami bersepakat untuk memberikan pandangan umpan balik sesuai petunjuk tim formula.

Berikut ini adalah umpan balik dari Feedback System:


Pada bagian pertama, apa yang sudah baik dari yang disampaikan mba Yunita dalam jurnalnya adalah, memahami masalah yang sedang beliau hadapi pada saat ini dan memahami sisi mana Bersemangat menjalani rutinitas harian; menjalani peran sebagai fasilitator anak dengan bahagia, mencapai target probadi dan keluarga,

 

Semua yang dituangkan mba Yunita adalah bagian dari  tanggung jawabnya sebagai ibu rumah tangga yang ingin senantiasa mendampingi serta melihat proses perkembangan putra putrinya   sesuai dengan rencana dan target yang sudah dirancang. Hanya saja, fokusnya saat ini adalah bagaimana membersama mereka dalam suasana pandemi yang juga harus mampu menyeimbangkan pikiran, tenaga, prioritas, emosi dan waktu. Melihat alar masalah yang diangkat serta hasil yang tampak menunjukkan rencana yang akan ditempuhnya untuk menyelessaiakn masalah yang hendak dituntaskan. 

Sekali mendayung, dua tiga pulau terlampaui, maka baiknya mba Yunita dapat memanfaat kan kekuatan dan kelebihan yang beliau miliki dengan menyelaraskan manajemen waktu, emosi serta ilmu yang kemudian di praktekkan dengan konsisten menuju target yang diinginkan. Tetap semangat mba Yunita. Bersama keluarga, pasti bisa taklukkan Gunung batu.

Bunda Salihah #1 Find out your obstacles

 

 FIND AND CONQUER THEM AND PROVE THAT YOU COULD CHANGE

 

 Here I am now. I never thought that I will be here on this class with the sparkling, prospective IP members who have the same motivation. YOU CAN YOU CHANGE. On this first assignment, We have to find our biggest obstacles that actually I have been experiencing that make me sometimes stuck and postpone the target. There are some points that I will share here and hopefully, I have already select the biggest problem and how to map it, then searching the roots of the obstacles and of course the way outs to overcome the uncomfortable zone. 

The first thing first to discuss here is identifying obstacles. Among many obstacles I have got individually, family or in my working space is time management. I must admit that I got difficulty to manage my time especially when my mood is down or I feel tired when I wake up early in the morning and get headache when I imagine the range of my routine activities as a mother dancing on my mind. In addition, I have limited time to do all those housing work. I set the time to complete and I must change my focus when I am at the office. However, I have been working from home for more than a year, then it will become my other obstacles to manage my work target and serve my children at the same time. Next obstacle is I am an introvert person. Whenever I put together in a meeting either in my housing environment or other public occasion, I usually withdraw my self and be quiet as I think I don't have strength to show off through giving info and explaining something. I will answer the questions when they ask me. Meanwhile, I always feel less confident when I am making joke and want to make warmer atmosphere as I am worried to make mistakes and I also less initiative to take an action or just send ideas to do. The last but not least, My job is an English instructor and I usually like to see others who have good at public speaking and I try to be a copy cat to check that I am also good at that one.

Here are the way I know that I have those obstacles. I want to be a perfect person in many parts for my self, family, my environment and as well in my job. In fact, I'm trying to do my best to cover all of the weaknesses. I could complete my all target work in a deadline moment. As all ideas coming up easily and then I could send or submit all my project on time. When I am among the neighbors, I prefer to keep quiet and show my facial expressions to show my attention. Another thing when I get involved in a social activity, I tend to be careful to give ideas as I avoid the mistake. Meanwhile, I like to imitate others to improve my teaching or training performance. That is why I usually duplicate the way of speaking or explaining a topic.

 

All I work as a wife, mother and an English instructor must be done based on the clock time. Next, to handle my nervousness among my neighbors, I am trying to have a chit chat and talk a little to break the ice. The rest, I will show my friendly face and facial expressions to show my attention to the topic discussion. To participate in action, I usually offer my aid and avoid spontaneous saying.  The way of being copy cat is when I feel satisfied with my performance when I promote or explain a lesson or a topic.

In conclusion, I have four obstacles that have to be solved by my own self. Time management, deadline, introvert and a copy cat persons become my big homework to conquer and this is the right moment to change and become a better personality. Next step is to identify the root of the obstacles. From this part, I put the obstacles into big obstacle, goes to root of obstacle 1 and then see the Result.
